Mitch Miguel's quiet photographs record a landscape not as it is, but as how he would like it to be.
A native of downtown Manila, this artist displays a love for symmetry and rich tones. His minimalist compositions, with their soothing textures and tracts of negative space, are perhaps an escape from the chaotic, claustrophobic inner-city environs of his childhood.
Miguel is a graduate of Redlab, and has inherited the photo school's highly technical and meticulous approach to the photographic and printing process. He has traveled in pursuit of photographic self-expression.
